At the end of making this, I found the granita to be too tart for my liking. That was easily solved by adding an additional 1/2 cup of simple syrup and 1 cup of water.

I just squeezed some fresh orange juice, added a bit of tequila and instead of ice I used the lime-lavender granita.
Now that was yummy!
